The design of this whip is similar to a forerunner of today's riding whips. Before the invention of glass fibre inlays these crops were made by sewing together several layers of tapered strips of leather. Now we have combined this historical design with a modern cushioned swat, which originates in military equestrianism. The long cushion distributes the impact over the area and softens it a little, it does, however, not lessen the effect. Apart from deployment in various sensitive body regions, this whip is ideal for use in bastinado or falaka (whipping the soles of the feet). The rounded handle means it is very comfortable to manage and can be driven with extraordinary precision. For a little more stiffness this whip is reinforced with an insert made of spring steel. We produce these whips from especially high-quality English bridle leather, the swat is made from softer Nappa leather with a light cushioning. Please choose your colour combinaton: - black with swat in black - black with swat in bordeaux red Length of whip approx. 47 centimetres (plus hand loop) Width of swat approx. 2.5 centimetres
