This baton is the version of our Big Bobby designed for leather fetishists.
In colloquial English, police officers are often referred to as “Bobbies.” We’ve adopted this name for our baton, as it is in fact an authentic replica of an English police truncheon.
The elegant leather covering of this Bobby significantly changes its appearance compared to the Big Bobby and offers a pleasing tactile experience for both the person wielding it and the one on the receiving end.
With its deep grip ridges and detachable wrist strap, the Bobby sits very securely in the hand and allows for precise control.
Due to the hardness of the wood, the Bobby delivers a penetrating and deep impact. It’s no coincidence that such batons are infamous as feared instruments of police enforcement.
Accordingly, the general safety guidelines apply especially to this tool!
Never strike directly on the spine or the kidney area with the Bobby, as this could cause serious internal injuries.
Bruising is almost unavoidable even with moderate use. The leather covering does not change this! So please do not use it if you wish to avoid leaving marks!

Attention:
Please note that our current Rosewood finish is more of a warm brown with a visible grain. The Black Ash color, on the other hand, is currently significantly lighter (see photos). Please be aware that variations like these are possible due to the natural material.
For our Bobbies we are pointedly looking for lumbers with wavy grain which gives a subtle and characteristic look to the truncheons.
Due to the individual grain every truncheon is a unique and looks similar to the sample shown in the pictures but never alike.
The surface of the Bobby is polished and sealed only but not lacquered since most lacquers would scratch and spall easily.
To clean the Bobby is damp wipeable. But please never use aggressive detergents or desinfectant!

This paddle is the wooden version of our Long Bat and if you have read the old comic books by John Willie or Stanton & Co., you will be familiar with this typical shape of a paddle. The Teachers Bat is a long, slender paddle with a very long lasting effect and allows for very easy handling from the wrist. This paddle is the wooden version of our Mini Bat, but at the same time the dwarf version of our larger Teachers Bat. The effect, however, is anything but dwarfish. 'Small, but wicked' describes the essence much more accurately! In our shop it regularly happens that customers test this paddle by slapping the palm of their hand lightly and then emit a sharp little yell, due to the mean result.
