In a historic Kreuzberg apartment overlooking Platz der Luftbrücke, the McHurt story begins. Three laptops rest on an antique billiard table, next to a metal stand holding cuffs, collars, and whips. After months of preparation, the moment finally arrives—at 6:20 PM, the McHurt online shop goes live. This marks the start of a success story that will leave a lasting impact on the BDSM scene. The very next day, McHurt makes its first public appearance at the Women’s Easter Conference in Hamburg.

As demand grew, McHurt’s inventory expanded rapidly, soon overtaking CEO Pia’s apartment. By 2009, the first McHurt store opened in Berlin’s Dudenstraße, quickly gaining a reputation for its unique selection. But McHurt didn’t stop growing—the range expanded, and the team got bigger.
After more than a decade, it was time to take the next step. In 2020, McHurt relocated to Tempelhofer Damm, a larger and more accessible space. Despite initial challenges due to the COVID lockdown, the store quickly flourished, becoming one of Europe’s top BDSM specialty shops.
