Lady Rosewood

Sir Black Ash is the larger mate of Lady Black Ash. This is our biggest wooden paddle. With a hitting surface of approx. 29 x 10 centimetres it is typically suitable for more voluminous bottoms,  while delicate butts would probably be overchallenged. The combination of total unelasticity of the wood and the big surface area causes a quite distinctively penetrating pain. The blows can be controlled precisely benign but in reality they bring out a very nasty effect quite easily. The ten round holes are increasing the pain additionally since they cause an uneven compression of the soft flesh and in addition they irritate the butts with their edges. Furtheron they reduce the air drag and so cause an even sharper impact of the blow. This paddle is the wooden version of our Long Bat and if you have read the old comic books by John Willie or Stanton & Co., you will be familiar with this typical shape of a paddle. The Teachers Bat is a long, slender paddle with a very long lasting effect and allows for very easy handling from the wrist. Only a little momentum is needed to let it flip onto (almost) every part of the body in order to achieve a considerable reaction. This paddle is the wooden version of our Mini Bat, but at the same time the dwarf version of our larger Teachers Bat. The effect, however, is anything but dwarfish. 'Small, but wicked' describes the essence much more accurately! In our shop it regularly happens that customers test this paddle by slapping the palm of their hand lightly and then emit a sharp little yell, due to the mean result.
