The Anal Speculum Matthieu-style offers a special alternative function:
the anus is not only spread open in one direction, but is expanded at three points simultaneously, which provides a good view deep into the orifice.

In the closed position, the three meticulously rounded blades form an almost circular shaft. With a diameter of only 17 to 18 millimetres approx., it is easily inserted into the anus.
When the plier-shaped handle is drawn apart, the blades stretch the anus in three directions. This creates an opening in the shape of a triangle instead of a slit. The further the blades are now splayed apart, the larger the visible area inside the anus becomes.
The maximum stretch is approx. 55 millimetres.
