The Hungarian dressage whip is similar to a stock whip, consisting of an approx. 50 centimetre long, slightly flexible handle, which merges into a sewn, short leather flap.
Braided onto this is a piece of leather made from extremly soft leather.
The cracker at the end, made from nylon, makes it easy to crack the whip, but brings with it the risk of leaving fierce marks, even injuries.
This makes this whip unsuitable for beginners.
To minimise this risk, the cracker can be removed, but this dispenses of the cracking sound.
