This strap is an elegant variant of our Canadian Prison-Strap.

Until the middle of the last century the corporal punishment of insubordinate prisoners was commonplace in the prisons of North America. The standard implement for this was a prison strap, which was available in many different designs.

The Crocodile-Strap is made from thick, very ridgid leather, which allows an exact dosage from playfully slapping to strict and punishing.

Compared with the Canadian Prison-Strap this modell is modified by a handle with embossing in style of crocodile skin.
Please don't worry, we do not use genuine croc! It is a high-quality cowhide with specially treated top.

The stitching in contrast colour matches with the colour of the handle.
The edges are carefully tapered und the back is elegantly covered in Nappa leather.
The handle is re-enforced with a slightly flexible inlay.

In the production of the Crocodile-Strap we use our heavy English saddle leather (please see additional description below) in black, Nappa leather for the back and printed cowhide for the handle.

Available in three different colour options:

- black with handle in chocolate brown
- black with handle in red
- black with handle in rosé

Length approx. 42 centimetres
Width approx. 6 centimetres

Our heavy English saddle leather is an especially high-quality drum dyed leather and has a thickness of approximately 4,5 to 5 millimetres.
The surface is not covered with insoluble pigments, but natural, providing a particularly pleasant grip and feel.
Over time it becomes softer, rather than harder (in contrast to cheap belt leather, which turns hard and brittle after a while).
This leather benefits from a little dubbing from time to time; oil, however should not be used, as due to the naturally retained surface it could change the colour of the leather.
